"Strengthens" like it says, although not entirely "matte" by Kish
I ordered this because I noticed when my un-polished nails grew long, they would bend in various ways because of how I used my fingers to press buttons, etc. I know polishing your nails with color also makes them stronger, but this transparent stuff is much less obvious when it gets chipped or scratched, so I don't have to worry about messing it up. I'd say it's doing a good job of helping my nails hold their natural shape - no bending so far. I am also quite pleased with how it makes my nails look. It has a VERY faint white tint to it, which I think helps a little bit to even out blotchy colors in you nails (like purple or red). Other than that, it looks very natural. I think I will buy this again, although I'll go for the "shine" version next time.



One thing to consider (especially for men) is that although it says it's "matte," and it is certainly much less shiny than normal nail polish, it is not entirely "shine-less." It doesn't look very obvious that you have a product on your nails, but it does look like you've taken very good care of your nails. The level of shine is similar to what you'd get from a very thorough buffing (buffing is sanding your nails with a very fine grain so that they become smooth and a little shiny). If I saw a man wearing this product I probably would not think it looked "odd," it would just look like he took good care of his hands. So guys, buy it if you like, but beware you will look a tiny bit "pampered." :)

I am a 45 y.o. woman with very sensitive skin and rosacea. My skin is combination and I am starting to see lines in the forehead/eye area and I also have a little patchy dryness, due to my condition. I have tried some other creams from the Olay Regenerist line: i.e. Microsculpting cream and serums, and did not have a positive experience, because it broke me out in red welts all over my face. I was reading an acne message board and a young woman on there claimed that this product cleared up her fairly severe acne (she provided pics for proof). She looked great and so I thought to myself, "why not?". Well let me tell you...this is the BEST my skin has looked in my adult life since being diagnosed with this. On the first morning after applying cream, I could see where my skin was peeling a tiny bit in places, where it was looking patchy and rough. After that morning, my skin just continues to look smoother and more even-toned each day. Even the tiny red bumps that are characteristic of Rosacea are going away. It feels silky and fantastic! (No pimples or red welts from THIS cream!) I have backed myself up on product so I don't run out. As soon as I can afford it, I'm going to buy a bunch of it, in case they should ever discontinue it! (Remember it is a purple cream in a purple jar). I apply it very liberally, all over my face and neck before bed each evening, then apply eye cream, etc. The price is RIGHT on Amazon, even cheaper than than the big auction website! Also, off the subject, (in case anyone else has problems with the Micro-Sculp line) I substituted the Boots No. 7 Protect and Perfect Intense Serum for the Olay Micro Sculpt Serum and I am having great results with that too!

I purchased these because of the great reviews, and couldn't find a miracle cream for those lines between my eyes. Great buy but a little uncomfortable at first, especially if you get up in the middle of the night - you want to tear it off and go back to bed - but don't - it hurts and you'll end up peeling some hair off too! Works like a dream but I'm going to try medical tape next just to see the difference...still - I highly recommend!
